On the orders of District Election Officer-Deputy Commissioner Mr Kumar Saurabh Raj, the Returning Officer Barnala-cum-SDM Barnala Mr Varjeet Singh Walia sealed a liquor vend in 25 acre area at around 12 midnight.
The returning officer as well as team from Barnala police found the liquor vend open violating the orders of District Election Officer that had banned opening of the liquor vend on February 19 and February 20 in view of the The Vidhan Sabha elections.
Barnala city 1 police have arrested and booked a case under section 188 IPC against Raju Ram son of Relu Ram, who was currently residing in 25 acre area of Barnala. The accused Raju Ram is originally a resident of Chah village Tehsil Sakra Ghat, district Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
