Plots from 200 to 500 yards will be available in the colony, villages will get facilities on the lines of cities – Dushyant Chautala
Chandigarh, February 23 – Land acquisition has been approved for the development of ‘Jannayak Tau Devi Lal Model Colony’ in village Israna of Panipat district of Haryana. The plan was discussed in detail in a meeting of Panchayat Department, HAREDA and Deputy Commissioner, Panipat under the Chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala in Chandigarh and a decision was taken in this regard.
HAREDA will buy land for model colony in Israna. After the land registry, the department will start the process of plot allotment by developing this colony according to the Government map.
Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the State Government is going to make this dream of the villagers a reality soon.
He said that Israna would be the first village where rural sector would be developed in about 48 acres. The residents of the colony will get all the basic facilities including community centre, sports complex, primary school, park, shopping complex etc.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that in this model colony, people will get plots ranging from 200 to 500 yards at a reasonable price, in which 60 percent will be shared by the original residents and 40 percent will be open to all. The Deputy Chief Minister added that after the development of Israna Model Colony, the possibilities of developing such colonies in other areas of the state are also being explored.
On this occasion Additional Chief Secretary, Development & Panchayats Department, Sh. Amit Jha, Director General, Development & Panchayats Department, Sh. RC Bidhan, Administrator, Dr. Raj Kumar Narwal, Deputy Commissioner, Panipat, Sh. Sushil Sarwan, Sarpanch, Israna and Sh. Surendra Dhaula were present.
