More than 500 km of roads to change The Economy of Malwa

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that more than 6,000 crore rupees is being spent in the state to change the scenario of the Malwa region. It is a great achievement. Madhya Pradesh continues to benefit from the strong network of roads. While the Central Government’s approval for the Atal Expressway in the state has been received, the Madhya Pradesh Government is committed to the construction of the Narmada Way. Many towns and villages of Malwa, including Ujjain, will benefit from the construction of quality roads and this will help in transforming the economy of this region.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the preparations for the foundation stone laying ceremony of the project being laid by the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari on 24th February. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Public Works Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Principal Secretary Public Relations Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh and other officials were present in the review meeting.
It may be mentioned that The Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone of 11 road projects worth 6 thousand 247 crore rupees in Ujjain on 24th February. These works will upgrade 534 km of routes of the state. MlAs, MPs and public representatives will be present at the event.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the new road construction and upgradation works will change the map of Ujjain and Malwa region in terms of development. These routes will also be useful in the expansion of many economic activities. There will be a huge positive change in the economy of the region. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to ensure smooth completion of all arrangements of the function.
