MCM’s session on start-up founder’s story inspires students

The Institution Innovation Council and Start-up Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised an online awareness session on the topic ‘Motivational Story of a Start-up Founder’. The resource person for the session was Mr. Paramdeep Singh Anand, CEO, Field Assist. Over 65 students and faculty members attended the enriching session that acquainted them with various challenges associated with start-ups. Mr. Singh said that ecosystem is far more encouraging and fertile for those who are risk-takers, doers and people who want to make a difference in the lives of people around the world. He emphasised on the fact that an entrepreneur must think big, think fast and think ahead because ideas are no one’s monopoly. Further, the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and reasons for the failure of start-ups were also discussed. At the end, numerous privileges available for the students for venturing into a start-up were also elucidated.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava expressed appreciation for this endeavour to inspire students to venture into entrepreneurship by sharing firsthand experiences of a start-up founder. She added that for a progressive and self-reliant nation, it is highly imperative for the youth to become employment generators.
