Chandigarh, March 15 – Haryana Additional Chief Secretary Health, Sh. Rajeev Arora said that “Orientation of newly introduced vaccine for 12-14 years age group will be launched across Haryana on March 16, 2022. The vaccine named Corbevax vaccine will be used in this age group, total two doses will be given, with a gap of 28 days.

        Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Sh. Rajeev Arora today inaugurated a two day state-level training programme organized by National Health Mission (NHM), Haryana in technical collaboration with UNDP (United Nation Development Programme) on eVIN (Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network) and CoWIN for district Immunization officers (DIOs), urban nodal officers (UNOs) and vaccine cold chain managers (VCCMs).

        Sh. Rajeev Arora said that the districts will also observe National Vaccination Day on March 16, 2022. One ANM and two ASHA workers will be felicitated per block (urban and rural) with appreciation certificates based on their performance. Cultural activities will also be organized to ensure maximum community participation.

        He said that District Immunization Officers and other district team members did commendable job during the COVID vaccination during the pandemic. They will  continue with the same spirit for achieving 100% coverage in Routine Immunization and COVID Vaccination. Districts will do the line listing for all unvaccinated beneficiaries and prepare strategies for vaccinating the same. He also congratulated UNDP team for providing technical support for recording of data on COWIN portal and Vaccine stock data on eVIN portal. Districts officials will provide all the support required to UNDP team members in their respective districts. He also urged the officers of all the districts to share the innovative and digital techniques with each other to strengthen the immunization coverage”.

Speaking on the occasion, Mission Director Haryana, Sh. Prabhjot Singh said, “Districts are being provided all the support from State Headquarters for all the Routine Immunization and COVID vaccination related activities. The District Immunization Officers play critical role in achieving 100% immunization coverage in routine immunization programme. The district officials should ensure to provide health services to the unprivileged people specially the migratory populations. District officials should ensure recording of data related to immunization in private hospitals and ensure feeding of data on portal on regular basis to attain better ranking at national level”.

On the occasion, Directors, DIOs, UNOs, VCCMs, State Programme officers, representatives of UNDP and consultants were present.
