National Vaccination Day was celebrated at Community Health Centre (CHC), Khaltse organised by Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khaltse under the aegis of Azadi of Amrit Mahotsav celebrating the 75th Independence of India.

Councillor, Khaltse, Lobzang Sherab was the chief guest and Dr Chandra Kanth Panday from NHPC, Nimmo-Basgo was the guest of honour.
Councillor Lobzang Sherab spoke on the importance of National Vaccination Day and lauded the arrangements made by BMO Khaltse and staff members. He also appreciated the skit on the theme of ‘Pulse Polio Immunisation’ and said that such a programme would raise awareness among the public about the importance of Pulse Polio Immunisation. He also assured them that he would put his best efforts into resolving the issues of CHC Khaltse at the earliest.
Earlier, BMO Khaltse, Dr Chamba Laskit welcomed the dignitaries and other officials apprised the dignitaries about various achievements regarding polio vaccination by CHC Khaltse. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes to the ASHA and ANM for their best performance duty in Pulse Polio Immunisation.
The programme was attended by Doctors, Sarpanch, Nambardar, the President of the Women Association, paramedical staff members, ASHA workers and other concerned officials in the Khaltse sub-division.
