MCM holds annual PTA Meet in virtual mode

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised the annual PTA Meet 2022 in online mode. The meet began with inspiring address of Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava who reiterated the fact that the parents and teachers are together in the journey of holistic development of the students. Dr. Bhargava apprised the parents of the indefatigable spirit of the college that kept the lamp of knowledge lit even in the dark times of the pandemic and reassured them that the college is committed to the cause of grooming women achievers with a strong value system. The parents were then given a brief introduction of the college and its achievements in the recent years, followed by introduction of the Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments and Coordinators of different Committees. The parents then interacted with the respective teachers wherein their concerns and queries on a wide range of issues including exams, extra curricular activities, career counseling and the like were handled to their satisfaction. The event was interspersed with musical renditions by the students of the Department of Music as they enthralled the audience with their Sufi song, Hindi medley and Punjabi folk song. The meeting was well attended by over 156 parents who expressed their gratitude to the college and teachers for arranging the meeting for addressing their queries and forging a communication link with the parents for ensuring a brighter future of the students.
