Under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, various programmes are being organized across the country and Haryana. So far more than 2500 programmes have been organized in the state and more than 6000 programmes are proposed.

The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal believes that ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ should be enthusiastically celebrated along with maximum public participation. He has called upon everyone to take a pledge to uphold the spirit of this freedom.
“In today’s time moving forward with the core mantra of ‘Nation First’ should be the utmost duty of everyone so as to ensure make a new identity of India on the world’s map. It becomes our utmost duty to enthusiastically participate in ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ programmes, says, Sh. Manohar Lal.
An official spokesperson said that under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a mobile exhibition has been organized in every district highlighting the glorious history of Haryana’s freedom struggle. A Shaheed Samark is being built at Ambala Cantonment showcasing the lead role of the State in India’s first freedom. Besides this, it has been decided to build a ‘Samark’ in the memory of the Rao Tula Ram, a freedom fighter of India’s first war of independence. Plays namely the War of 1857- ‘Veer Shaheed’ and ‘Dastan-e-Rohnaat’ are being organized in every district showcasing the valour of the martyrs of Haryana who made supreme sacrifices for the Mother India. To ensure maximum public participation, the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign has been started.
The spokesperson said that 75 years of India’s independence would complete on August 15, 2022. Notably, the official journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on March 12, 2021. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav will be celebrated till August 15, 2023.
