Maruti’s Kharkhoda plant to produce its first car in the year 2025: Sh. Dushyant Chautala

Mandis will reopen; will buy every grain of the farmers

Chandigarh, May 15 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that progress cannot stop if the thinking and intentions are right. The State Government has done this in Haryana even in adverse circumstances like the Covid period. During the last one year, about Rs. 28,000 crore has been invested at various places in the state, due to which new employment opportunities have been created for the youth. In Kharkhoda too, Maruti-Suzuki has taken steps towards setting up its plant on 900 acres, which will be of special benefit to the youth of the region.

The Deputy Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting organized at Kharkhoda’s New Anaj Mandi today. He said that Maruti-Suzuki will start manufacturing the first vehicle in Kharkhoda in the year 2025. Here Suzuki will make motorcycles in 100 acres and Maruti will make electric vehicles in 800 acres. About 11,000 youth will get employment in Maruti industry and about 3,000 youth in Suzuki’s motorcycle industry. Due to the law made to give reservation to the youth of Haryana in the private sector, 75 percent employment will be given to the youth of the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the mother plant of Maruti-Suzuki will be established here, with the help of which many small industrial units will also be established. In this way employment opportunities will increase further. In the coming five years, Kharkhoda will get a different identity on the international map. The development of Kharkhoda is being accelerated on the lines of Gurugram.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that earlier farmers used to get the payment of their crops late, but now payment is made with immediate effect. So far, about Rs. 8,000 crore has been paid to the farmers. He said that the procurement of crops was to be done by May 15, but in the interest of farmers, mandis would now be opened again. Every grain of the farmers’ crop will be procured at MSP. He said that earlier farmers used to face problems even for the money for crop damage, because the compensation depended on the girdawari by the patwari in which compensation was given only if there was a 25 percent damage.

He said that the State Government has decided that by creating a portal, farmers will also be given the right to upload the details of their damaged crops. The verification will be done only by the patwari, but the farmers will be able to record the information about the failure of their crops, which will promote transparency. In this way, the work of empowering the farmers is being done. He said that in case of fire in the fields, compensation was given only if there was a short circuit of electricity, but in future, a provision for compensation would be made in case of fire by formulating a law. Referring to the demand letters given by the people during the public meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister said that most of the demands are related to the sheds, roads and drinking water of the cremation ground and Gau-ghat and Johad. He directed the concerned officers on the spot to prepare and send an estimate of all the demands. All the demands will be fulfilled. In the context of toll, he said that monthly passes would be arranged for the people of villages falling within 20 km radius.

Former MP, Dr. Ajay Singh Chautala said that the government has done a great job. The law of 75 percent reservation for the youth of the state in the private sector is welcome.
