Chandigarh, May 21 – Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister, Sh. Devender Singh Babli said that the places where situation of water logging occurs due to heavy rainfall should be identified in the state and permanent solution should be made to overcome the problem of water logging. While ensuring that rain water does not create situation of water logging in any city across the state, he directed the officials to implement rain water harvesting schemes at the earliest.
The Minister was holding a meeting with the officials of all the Departments at Farmers’ Rest House in Tohana today. He reviewed the progress report of the on-going development works of all the Departments and directed them to complete the same at the earliest. He also sought details of waterlogging situation from the concerned officials.
Development and Panchayats Minister directed the officials that special attention should be given towards the cleanliness of the cities. If the footpaths are broken anywhere, then they should be fixed soon. He said that according to the schemes of the state government, a proposal for the renovation of all schools and shifting of milch animals from cities to dairies should be sent to the government at the earliest so that it could be implemented. He said that the development works should be completed within the stipulated time, so that the public can be facilitated.
Sh. Devender Singh Babli said that more and more saplings should be planted on roads, banks of canals and vacant areas to preserve the environment. For all these aforesaid works, officers of all Departments should work in coordination with each other for successful implementation of various government schemes across the state.
