Sangrur, 18 June :-

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sarpanch Gurmail Singh, taking a jibe at SAD said that this time Badal family is absent from the posters of their candidate, next time Akali dal’s posters will be missing as the people of Punjab will never forgive Badal family for their sins.

He added that Badal family as well as other corrupt parties will soon disappear from the political map of Punjab because we’ve seen in recently concluded assembly elections that people only want politics of honesty and work.

Addressing public rallies in various villages and towns of Sangrur constituency, Gurmail Singh urged people to cast their vote on the election symbol ‘broom’ considering the extraordinary working of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal.

Appealing to people to strengthen the Arvind Kejriwal’s movement against corruption and system, Gurmail Singh said that after being elected as MP, he would raise the voice of the people in the parliament.

Singh campaigned in different villages in the Sangrur constituency including  Mahil Kalan, Khadiyal, Ramgarh Jawandhe, Khadiyal Kothe, Nilowal, Chhajla, Chhajli, Chattha Nanherha, Kohrian, Hiragarh, Saadi Hari, Ladvanzara Kalan, Khetla, Rogla and Dirba. He also visited Khanal Kalan, Dayalgarh Jejian and Chahar and addressed public rallies at various places.

Addressing the public meetings, AAP candidate Gurmail Singh said, “The Aam Aadmi Party aims to bring political change as well as administrative and economic change. The people of Sangrur constituency had brought a political change in the state by ensuring the victory of incumbent CM Bhagwant Mann by an overwhelming majority in 2014 and 2019 as MP from the segment, due to which the people of Punjab made him CM in 2022.”

He said that with the blessings of the people of Sangrur, he would become the voice of the people just as Bhagwant Mann has been the voice of the people in Parliament. Therefore, the wise voters of the constituency will surely vote for AAP in this poll.

Singh said that the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Punjab has been taking pro-people decisions every day. Apart from eradicating corruption from the state, it is also getting rid of illegal encroachment of panchayat lands.  The government is also implementing decisive decisions to provide jobs to the youth, MSP on crops to the farmers and rations to the poor families.

Singh stressed that he would follow in the footsteps of CM Mann to work dedicatedly for the welfare of Sangrur and Punjab’s people.
