Principal Government Medical College, Jammu, Dr Nasib Chand Digra today concluded that the management has made enough sufficient stock of oxygen cylinders to deal with the needs of Covid positive patients admitted in MCH and Associated Hospitals.
He said a total 885 oxygen cylinders were used in the last 24, including 856 in GMC and 29 in Chest Disease Hospital (CDH). He added that GMC has a buffer stock of 600 cylinders whereas CD hospital has 70 cylinders in stock. Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent GMC, Dr. Dara Singh told that GMC has a total 82 patients out of which 21 are in isolation ward, 12 are in CCU, 32 in ward no 3 and 17 in HDU.
Out of 82 patients all patients have been given oxygen support including 15 patients with ventilatory/bipap facility. He said Chest Disease hospital has 37 patients and all have been provided with oxygen supply facility. He also added that three deaths have been reported in GMC in the last 24 hours.
