A public grievance redressal camp at Banihal

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan  held a public grievance redressal camp at Banihal where he heard all demands and problems of the people. As many as 50 public deputations from different areas of Banihal and its adjoining areas discussed a number of issues pertaining to sports, upgradation of college, health care, ICDS, Rural Development Department, release of salaries and other developmental issues.
Interacting with the visiting deputations, Advisor Khan said that people are coming forward with issues before the administration as the present dispensation is best prompt mechanism to dispose of the grievances. On the occasion, a delegation of Bar Association Banihal demanded the upgradation of Munsiff Court complex in Banihal area of Ramban district. Similarly, another deputation of Mahoo Mangat highlighted several developmental issues in their area. Likewise, a deputation of local youth sought sports infrastructure and other facilities for the youth in the area. A delegation of Neel area demanded a degree college in their areas, besides upgradation of road and ambulance for the hospital. A deputation of ICDS workers sought promotion, release of pending salaries and also raised other service matters before the Advisor. Another deputation of Sarpanchs and Panches from Gund area demanded bore wells in their area.
A deputation of locals from Banihal demanded posting of more staff and other infrastructural facilities for the hospital.
Similarly, a deputation from Chamalwas  area of Banihal sought upgradation of road from Chamalwas to Neel. Also, a deputation asked compensation for Khari fire victims. While listening to all, the Advisor said that  the genuine issues would be resolved.
