Several SAD leaders and office bearers join AAP after being impressed with dynamic functioning of Mann government
Newly inducted leaders will work for the betterment of Punjab, says AAP General secretary Harchand Singh Barsat

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received a shot in the arm as Kamaljit Bhatia former senior deputy mayor of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation (MC) joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after quitting Akali Dal in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday. Bhatia was remained vice president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

Apart from Bhatia, several office bearers of SAD party have joined the party in Jalandhar today after being impressed with the dynamic functioning of the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government. They were formerly inducted into party by general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat and senior AAP leader Jagroop Singh Sekhwan.
Those SAD leaders joined party include, Jatinder Singh Bansal, Harjeet Singh Kalra, Amit Chawla, Amandeep Singh, Mahinderpal Nikka, all joint secretary (Jalandhar city); Gaurav Arora, secretary (Jalandhar city); Gurdeep Singh, organisational secretary (Jalandhar city); Balwinder Singh Lahoriya, secretary (Jalandhar city);Randeep Singh Rana, vice president SOI (Doaba zone); Gaurav Arora, general secretary SOI (Doaba zone) and Manpreet Singh vice president of SOI (Doaba region).
In a media statement, party general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat said that people throughout the country are greatly impressed with the working of AAP governments in Delhi and Punjab. He exuded confidence that newly joined leaders will work for the betterment of the Punjab under the leadership of CM Mann.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders who joined the party said, they were impressed with the extraordinary performance of AAP government in the state within a short span of time. They said Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is working dedicatedly to make the state as ‘Rangla Punjab’ and they all will work for betterment of Punjab as per the responsibility assigned to them by the AAP party.
