Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar & Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Amritsar Sh. Ghanshyam Thori said in a press release that it is the prime duty of Municipal Corporation Amritsar to provide all civic amenities to its citizens. For better road sweeping of all the main roads of the city, Municipal Corporation Amritsar has added one more truck mounted road sweeping machine to its fleet and now five truck mounted road sweeping machine will work on main roads along with 4 other small ones. Total 9 number of road sweeping machines will work day &night . The new truck mounted road sweeping machine has been purchased under NCAP under PPCB Grant at the cost of Rs.40.77 lacs and the same has been supplied by M/s Har International after adopting proper procedure for the purchase of the same.
Sh. Thori said in a message to the citizens to cooperate the Municipal Corporation,Amritsar in maintaining the environment of the city through cleanliness and appealed to not to throw the garbage on the roads and put it in dustbins after segregation of wet & dry waste.
