10th annual conference of Madhya Pradesh Judges Association started in Bhopal

The two-day conference will conclude on Sunday

The tenth biennial conference of Madhya Pradesh Judges Association was inaugurated on Saturday at Ravindra Bhawan in Bhopal with the chief guest Honorable Supreme Court Justice Shri Sanjeev Khanna, special guest Honorable Justice Shri Aniruddha Bose, Justice Shri J.K. Maheshwari and Honorable Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Shri Ravi Malimath lit the lamp. In this, the new “Logo and Moto” of the association was unveiled. The book “Backlogs to Breakthroughs” was released by Honorable Justice Shri Sanjeev Khanna. It also included the release of a “souvenir” by Justice Shri Aniruddha Bose, the release of a bilingual version of the Constitution of the Judges Association was done by Justice Shri J.K. Maheshwari.

In the welcome address by aShri Subodh Jain, President, Madhya Pradesh Judges Association, he mentioned the work done by the Honorable Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh for the upliftment of the judges and revealed various issues affecting the District Court judges. On this occasion, while expressing his views on issues like the start of live streaming of the court proceedings and the meetings organized in relation to the judges who have passed away in the past years, he described the organized convention as a great initiative for the judges.

Honorable Supreme Court Justice Shri Sanjeev Khanna said that he himself is the son of a District Judge. By sharing his entire judicial journey with the judges, he revealed that judges are respected not only in the courts but in every part of the society. He expected the judges to be sensitive in every sphere of life and to perform judicial work more sensitively and responsibly towards every section of the society.

Honorable Supreme Court Justice Shri Aniruddha Bose said that while expressing his concern regarding the number of cases pending in the courts and the delay in their resolution, he expected that the judges should resolve as many cases as possible and effectively use alternative dispute resolution methods.

Honorable Supreme Court Justice Shri J.K. Maheshwari made the judges aware of their duties and declared that the work of the judge is a sacred task, the oath given to the judges from their appointment and the courts were made aware about the protection of the fundamental rights of the citizens under the Constitution. He advised to work free from attachment, greed, fear and hatred.

Honorable Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Shri Ravi Malimath in his address gave the example of the resolution of a case pending for 60 years and said that a judge should work hard and do the best work for the final resolution of the case. He congratulated the judges for working at a fast pace under the “25 Old Cases” Redressal Scheme and also said that by ending the endless process of case delay, the judge can take the case to its final disposal with his hard work.

In the second session of the first day, Hon’ble Supreme Court Justice Shri Vikram Nath presented the compilation of administrative orders and instructions issued from time to time on various subjects for the use of the judges of the High Court, Madhya Pradesh, which is available to the judges at a single click. Available on the Court’s website with a search engine.

All the judges of the three division benches of the Honorable High Court of Madhya Pradesh were present in the session and about 1450 judges of the District Court were present. For environmental protection, registration was taken through mobile through online software. After the first session, the first day of the convention was an academic session regarding Vision 2047 and a technical session regarding the delay in bail petition disposal and board management. On which various judges gave their opinions.
