Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 16, 2024
Statewide Campaign to sanction pending Mutations, initiated by Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to give a big relief to the people of Punjab, got a good response in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar on Monday too. Likewise, earlier campaign on 6th January, the number of Mutations sanctioned by the Revenue Officers of the District procured as many as  1227 Mutations in a single day, tomorrow.
Divulging  details, the Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Aashika Jain said that the number of Mutations sanctioned on the 6th of January was 1942 and the total number of both the days has risen to 3169.
Applauding the efforts of the Revenue Staff working hard to clear the pendency during both camps, she asked them to keep the stamina up and clear the rest of the Pendency. She said that though the time frame of 45 days for a Mutation from entering/initiating by Patwari and verifying by Kanungo and finally sanctioning by Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar has been fixed sometimes the physical verifications halt the process consequently causing  further delay.
She said the district administration will ensure to keep the Pendency of Mutations in the district Nil so that the property owners need not have to go hither and thither to get their work done.
The Deputy Commissioner said that Kharar Sub Division has sanctioned 610 Mutations in a single day while Derabassi 425 and Mohali 187, yesterday.
