Demands to regularise temporary employees of different departments
Barsat assured the leaders, all demands will be resolved as soon as possible

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab General Secretary and Punjab Mandi Board Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat, on Monday, was called upon by the members of Punjab School Education Board Daily wage Employees Union Mohali and Punjab State Co-operative, Boards, Corporations, Employees/Workers Mahasangh. On this occasion, the members of the Unions shared detailed information about their demands while handing over a letter addressed to the Chief Minister Punjab to Harchand Singh Barsat.
The members of the Punjab School Education Board Daily wage Employees Union Mohali said that a policy was issued by the Punjab government in October 2022 to regularised 525 temporary employees of the board along with 8736 temporary teachers. A 7 member committee was also formed for the same, all related work was also sent to the government, but till today no action has been taken in this regard.
He said that the union members held several meetings with the higher authorities in this regard, but no solution came out of those meetings.
Members of unions also demanded action against the corrupt officers. They said that no action has been taken against a corrupt officer of the corporation, while the Punjab government has a policy of zero tolerance for corruption. The officials, who are responsible for the implementation of this policy, are being accused of corruption. They demanded Barsat that proper action should be taken against these corrupt officers as soon as possible.
Harchand Singh Burst assured the union members that all their demands will be conveyed to the Chief Minister and these issues will be resolved as soon as possible. He said that the Punjab government always stands with the employees and will continue to work for the betterment of the employees in the future as well.
