From Dialogue to Action,, the ‘Dalit Yuva Samwad’ Addresses Challenges Faced by Scheduled Caste Students – Kainth

In a resolute commitment to foster educational empowerment, the Bharatiya Janata Party SC Morcha, Punjab, launched a pivotal program under the nationwide campaign “Dalit Yuva Dialogue” at the Students Center of Desh Bhagat University in Amloh, Fatehgarh Sahib. The program, dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by Scheduled Caste students, unfolded on the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s wife, Ramabai Ambedkar.
Mr. Sucha Ram Ladhar, President SC Morcha said, “the transformative impact of the post-matric scholarship scheme, particularly for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Emphasizing the benefits under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government’s initiative”, Ladhar highlighted the importance of creating a platform for discussing and resolving issues faced by Scheduled Caste students in acquiring higher education.
Paramjit Singh Kanth, Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party SC Morcha, expressed the challenges faced during the admission process and the difficulties in obtaining degree certificates. He said, “through the ‘Dalit Yuva Samwad,’ a dedicated program will be designed to address these issues comprehensively. The program also aims to delve into challenges faced by colleges and universities in administering the scholarship scheme, including difficulties in the payment process and website navigation related to the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.”
During the ‘Dalit Yuva Samwad,’ student representatives, including Jaspreet Kaur, Arshpreet Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Jaskaran Singh, and Gurpreet Singh, voiced concerns about delayed scholarship disbursements. Vice President Kainth assured that the Morcha is actively visiting colleges and universities to address such cases under the post-matric scholarship scheme.
Pradeep Garg, BJP’s Lok Sabha in-charge Fatehgarh Sahib, commended the welfare schemes of the Modi government, noting their positive impact on poor families. He highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the standard of living through various initiatives. Dr. Sandeep Singh, President of Desh Bhagat University, along with Dr. Varinder Singh, Advisor, Dr. Devinder Kumar, Director, Dr. Chandrakanta Nodal Officer, Kamal Rakhra, Harish Garg, and Sandeep Kumar, actively participated in this significant program.
