Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh will be hosting its much awaited Global Annual Alumni meet on 10th February 2024, at 09:00 am onwards at the institute’s auditorium.
Er. Atul Karwal, IPS, Director General, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) will grace the event with his benign presence. He himself is a 1983 alumnus of the institute from the mechanical engineering branch. Mr. Karwal has been awarded numerous medals for his fine achievements and contributions to the police force as well as the society. Before joining the NDRF as Director General, he has served as IG in both Gujrat and Srinagar. He has also trained 4 batches of IPS officers. Honorable Director of PEC, Prof. (Dr.) Baldev Setia will be presiding over the event.
The Alumni from the batches of 1954, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1989, 1999, 2009 and 2014 will be felicitated in this ceremonial event filled with celebration of nostalgia, jovial interactions and several cultural activities.
This meet will provide a crucial opportunity to the present students of the institute to interact with the alumni of this prestigious institute and continue in the footsteps of 102 years of golden legacy and mentorship. It’s a matter of immense pride for the institute as its very own members will be reuniting in the heart of the campus once again and will be reminiscing all the heartfelt moments they had lived and loved while being there at the institute, years back.
As the epic home-coming extravaganza is around the corner the institute and its members eagerly wait for this reunion and all the memories that will follow.
