Cong deceived Jammu, its hand not with Dogras: Jasrotia

The J&K BJP Chief Spokesperson, Sunil Sethi, on Tuesday said that both NC and Cong presented wrong history before the people and belittled Maharaja Hari Singh portraying him in a negative way.
This was stated by Sunil Sethi, while addressing a press conference at BJP media center, here today. BJP Spokespersons, Abhijeet Jasrotia, Lt Gen (Retd) Rakesh Sharma, Dr Tahir Chowdhary and YV Sharma were also present in the press conference.
“NC and Cong maligned the image of Maharaja Hari Singh and presented him in a negative manner,” Sethi said, while adding, “By belittling Maharja, NC-Cong presented Sheikh Abdullah as hero and bigger leader”.
It is due to Maharaja Hari Singh that J&K is an integral part of India today but NC and Cong always belittled his contribution and his work for social reforms, Sethi said.
NC-Cong sent Maharaja in exile and never allowed him to return to J&K till he lived, Sethi said. “NC-Cong announced holiday on the birthday of Sheikh Abdullah and Martyr’s Day,” Sethi said, adding, “People of Jammu agitated for years but NC-Cong did not announce holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh”.
BJP announced holiday on 23rd of September the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh, Sethi said and asked Rahul Gandhi and NC to explain to the people that why Maharaja Hari Singh was insulted, sent in exile and not allowed to come back to J&K?.
“Cong first sent Sheikh Abdullah to jail labeling him as anti-national,” Sethi said, while adding, “Sheikh was later made Chief Minister by Cong and holiday on his birthday was also announced”.
Sethi said, “BJP gave right place in history to Maharaja Hari Singh which he deserves”. He questioned NC and Cong that why did not celebrate the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh?.
“Except BJP no other political party including NC and Cong celebrated the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh,” he said.
While speaking on the occasion, Abhijeet Jasrotia said that NC and Cong always discriminated with Jammu. “Both NC and Cong never cared for the interests of Dogras of Jammu,” he said, while adding, “Kashmir has been given more seats of Lok Sabha and Assembly despite Jammu having more area and more population”.
Jasrotia said that NC and Cong also snatched the Dogra certificate from the people of Jammu. “Only BJP can save the future and identity of Jammu,” he said, while adding, “the Cong has always ditched the people of Jammu and its hand is not with Dogras”.
