Amritsar, 25 December 2024
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla today reached Khanauri border to meet farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal who was on a hunger strike. Dallewal has been on a hunger strike for the last 30 days demanding MSP guarantee law. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla reached there and enquired about his condition and said that the Center should pay attention to the demands of the farmers as soon as possible.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla met farmer leader Dallewal and said that he prays that God should make the central government understand that it should take this issue seriously and end Dallewal ji’s hunger strike. MP Aujla said that farmers are talking about their rights as well as the rights of Punjab, but the central government is sitting with cotton in its ears. Such harshness means that BJP is only justifying its dictatorial attitude and is considering the country as its fiefdom. He said that Dallewal has been on a hunger strike for the last 30 days. His health is continuously deteriorating but no central minister has tried to know about his condition. Congress also sought time to talk on this issue but did not get it. Now again he will seek time to raise his voice in front of center. He wants leaders like Dallewal to always guide him but the central government wants a strong pillar like Dallewal to fall. He demanded that the government should solve the issue of farmers as soon as possible and give them MSP guarantee law.
At the same time, Jagjit Singh Dallewal said that MSP is very important for the bright future of Punjab. The government wants diversity in Punjab but diversity cannot come without MSP. He said that without diversity, Punjab’s water cannot be saved. He told Gurjeet Singh Aujla that all the leaders should come together and demand MSP from the Centre as it is very important not only for them but also for Punjab. On this, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that he assures that he will definitely talk to the Centre on this issue.
