Feroz Khan takes stock of pace of ongoing works on construction of Kargil Girls Hostel at Majeen Sidhra

Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Khan took stock of the pace of ongoing works on the construction of Kargil Girls Hostel (Phase-I) at Majeen Sidhra Jammu here today.
The 4 storeyed hostel with a capacity to accommodate about 175 students is being constructed at a cost of Rs 9.89 crores under District Plan for which the foundation stone was laid by the CEC on October 1, 2020 this year.
During the course of the visit, the concerned engineers informed the CEC that the slab work is going on at the 1st floor while required works in case of the remaining floors will be started soon.
The CEC was further informed that the hostel building will be completed till March-April 2021 subject to the availability of funds.
CEC Khan while underlining the importance of the hostel building in providing residential facilities to the girl students of the district studying at Jammu instructed the concerned engineers to ensure the completion of the ongoing works within the stipulated timelines while also laying due focus on quality and quantity parameters.
Assistant Engineer R&B II Kargil Mansoor Muhammad besides other concerned officers and engineers accompanied the CEC during the tour.
