Feroz Khan hands over thermal scanners, jute bags to CDPO Tai Suru
KARGIL DECEMBER 19, 2020: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan handed over 60 thermal scanners and 65 locally made jute bags to Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Tai Suru Parveen Akhtar at Council Secretariat here on Friday.
The thermal scanners have been donated by the Former Executive Councillor and Councillor Tai Suru Aga Syed Abass Razvi out of his CDF for all the Anganwadi Centres in his constituency from Karpokhar to Rangdum while the jute bags have been donated by Famous Designer and President Ladakh Women’s Cooperative Society Roqiya Banoo and Mohammad Ilyas of Dragon Printing Press.
Councillor Tai Suru Aga Syed Abass Razvi, Councillor Tangole Haji Ghulam Mohammad, Representative of Ladakh Women’s Cooperative Society and Dragon Printing Press were among those present on the occasion.
Councillor Tai Suru while appreciating and congratulating ICDS Tai Suru led by the CDPO Parveen Akhtar for their outstanding work in the block said that with the provision of the thermal scanners he has fulfilled his promise made during Poshan Maah, 2020 to provide this facility to each and every ICDS Centre in Tai Suru Block. He further said that he is ready to provide all possible help to each and every department to carry out developmental activities in his constituency for the welfare and benefit of the people.
Meanwhile, the representative of Ladakh Women’s Cooperative Society and Dragon Printing Press Anayat Ali Shotopa informed that hat the donation is just a token of appreciation for the noteworthy work rendered by the ICDS workers and team of CDPO Tai Suru who are doing a wonderful job to reach out to the people with the Government schemes in a proper manner.
CDPO Tai Suru Parveen Akhtar thanked the Councillor Tai Suru Aga Syed Abass Razvi and the owners of Dragon Printing Press and Ladakh Women’s Cooperative Society for their donation and appreciation of the ICDS workers.
Pertinently, Famous Designer and Owner Ladakh Women’s Cooperative Society, Roqiya Banoo has initiated the idea of providing bags made of jute by recycling them which will help the ICDS workers and also introduce an idea of recycling in the society.
