Sandeep Singh expresses gratitude to CM for giving honorarium to Arjuna, Dronacharya, Bhim and Dhyan Chand Awardees
Chandigarh, December 25: Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Sandeep Singh, on behalf of the sportspersons of the state, has expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister Manohar Lal for the announcement of giving an honorarium to Arjuna, Dronacharya, Bhim and Dhyan Chand Awardee sportspersons on the occasion of Good Governance Day. As per the announcement, Rs. 20,000 will be given to 104 awardees and Rs. 5,000 to 130 awardees per month.
Sandeep Singh has said that this announcement by the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has honoured the sportspersons and will work to strengthen sports in the state. He said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal announced that Arjuna, Dronacharya and Dhyan Chand Award winners will now be given an honorarium of Rs. 20,000 per month instead of Rs. 5000. At the same time, the winners of the Adventure Award given by the Central Government have also been honoured with an honorarium of Rs 20,000. The Adventure Award given by the Central Government is awarded only once. Not only this, the Chief Minister has also increased the amount given to the Bhima Award winners. The awardees were only given an amount of Rs. 5 lakh at the time they were awarded; now they will be given a Bhima allowance of Rs. 5000 per month.
He said that 80 players have received the honour of Arjuna Award in the state. While the Dronacharya Award has been awarded to 15 coaches. All of them will be given an amount of Rs. 20,000 each per month. At the same time, 9 players have been honoured with Dhyan Chand Award, they will also be given an amount of Rs. 20,000 per month. 3 people have been awarded the Adventure Award in the state, they will also be awarded Rs. 20,000. The state government has honoured 130 sportspersons with Bhima Award. Mr. Sandeep Singh said that all types of facilities are being provided to the sportspersons by the State Government. In the coming year 2021, Haryana will host Khelo India-2021 for the first time. This achievement is part of the sports policy of the State Government.
With Khelo India, sportspersons of the state will get a new identity and they will also get an opportunity to show their talent.
