EC Chandan discusses ways to make Shargole renewable energy model constituency
KARGIL JANUARY 12, 2021: Executive Councilor for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan today held a meeting with the Project Director (PD) Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA), Kacho Ahmad Khan to discuss ways to make Shargole a renewable energy model constituency in Kargil district.
Chairperson Block Development Council (BDC) Shargole Tsering Nurboo and other concerned officers were also present in the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, different strategies such as setting up of renewable solar energy, greenhouses, agriculture and solar lights and other measures required to be taken to make Shargole a renewable energy constituency in the district were discussed threadbare.
EC Chandan directed the PD, KREDA to depute experts to conduct a detailed survey and document a project report in this regard so that a proposal can be sent to UT Administration Ladakh and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) Government of India.
