Acting CEC, EC Agriculture flag off district officers’, farmers’ team for exposure tour to Leh

KARGIL, MARCH 08, 2021: Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Aga Syed Hassan Arman along with the Executive Councillor for Agriculture Muhammad Ali Chandan flagged off a team of district officers and farmers and for exposure tour towards Leh district, under Central Sponsored Scheme and Non Plan.

Chief Agriculture Officer Kacho Muhammad Ali Khan, District Agriculture Officer Ashiq Hussain Basharat, DAOE Muhammad Iqbal, SDAO Muhammad Hussain Akhone, Agriculture Assistant Muhammad Ali Yabgo besides other concerned officers and officials of the department were present on the occasion

Meanwhile, the acting CEC Aga Syed Hassan Arman said the training programme will provide exposure and simultaneously knowledge to the farmers and the officers of the Agriculture Department. He said that such tours should be often organized by the department from time to time.

The Acting CEC expressed optimism that through the inputs gained from the training programme, participants can contribute in further enhancing agriculture production in Kargil.

EC Agriculture Mohammad Ali Chandan while addressing the participants of the tour urged them to get maximum benefits from this exposure tour and added that this will certainly help the farmers. He also directed the officials of the department to ensure proper facilities to the participants during the tour.

Meanwhile, the farmers on the occasion expressed happiness over the conduct of the tour and suggested that such tours should be often organized by the department in future as well.

Pertinently, during the exposure tour the district officers and farmers will be taken on the visit of DIHAR, Leh, KVK, Leh, MARES, Leh besides the agriculture farms, mushroom units, progressive famers’plots, Ladakhi type green houses and vermicompost unit sites.
