The  State Vigilance Bureau, Haryana has nabbed Head Constable,  Rajbir Singh

Chandigarh, April 27 – The  State Vigilance Bureau, Haryana has nabbed Head Constable,  Rajbir Singh,  posted at Police Station, Nathushri Chopta, Sirsa, red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000 from EHC Shamsher Singh, District Police Sirsa.

Sharing more details in this regard a spokesperson of the Bureau said that EHC, Sh. Shamsher Singh, District Police Sirsa, resident of village Bhattu Kalan, District Fatehabad had logged a complaint at State Vigilance Bureau(SVB), Sirsa that a complaint was filed by one Suresh Kumar, resident of Arniyan, District Sirsa against him at Police Station Nathushri Chopta.

It was said in the complaint that Head Constable  Rajbir Singh was demanding Rs. 10,000 in lieu of disposing off the said complaint.

The spokesperson said that after receiving the information, a case  under section 7/7A of the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered in Police Station, SVB, Hisar and a team headed by Inspector, Sh. Anil Kumar, SVB, Sirsa was constituted.

Sh. Ravi Kumar, BDPO, Sirsa and Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Computer Operator, Office of BDPO, Sirsa  were appointed as Duty Magistrate and Shadow witness, respectively.

The spokesperson further  said that the team of SVB apprehended HC Rajbir Singh red handed in the presence of Duty Magistrate and shadow witness.

The accused is being interrogated thoroughly. The investigation of the case is in progress.
