KARGIL APRIL 27, 2021: Executive Councilor for Zanskar Affairs Er Punchok Tashi laid the foundation stone for the up-gradation of Zanskar Sarai at Leh today.
The project has been taken up under CAPEX Budget at an estimated cost of Rs 1.44 crores.
On the occasion, EC Tashi extended his gratitude to the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan and Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve for their whole-hearted support for this project. He also lauded the role of the members of Zanskar Social Welfare Association for proper maintenance and functioning of the Zanskar Sarai at Leh till now.
The Zanskar Sarai at Leh has been constructed and maintained by Zanskar Social Welfare Association Leh mostly comprised of people of Zanskar settled in Leh who have been extending timely and selfless services towards patients and other needy people of Zanskar at Leh.
Councilor Cha Stanzin Lakpa, SDM Zanskar Sonam Dorjay, Executive Engineer PWD Zanskar Er Muhammad Abass, President Zanskar Social Welfare Association Tsering Shanti besides other concerned officers and residents of Zanskar were present on the occasion.
