Large oxygen plants will be set up in all divisional headquarters: CM Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that large oxygen plants should be set up in all divisional headquarters of the state. He instructed the officers to take immediate action in this regard. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a review meeting with the core group today from the residence through video conference regarding prevention and arrangements of Covid-19. Members of the Covid Core committee, ministers and officials attended the meeting online.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the pace of infection has come down in the state. Experience in the state and other regions of the country has taught that wherever public curfew is strictly followed, there has been a decline in the rate of infection. He asked the public representatives to lead the people to implement the Janata Curfew strictly for the next 10 days. He instructed to prepare the programme for vaccination based on the number of persons over 18 years of age and the availability of vaccination doses per day for carrying out the vaccination work in a planned manner. He said that the pace of vaccination of persons above 45 years of age, health workers and frontline workers should not be reduced. He instructed to explore the possibilities of setting up vaccination centres in places other than hospitals. Chief Minister Chouhan said that a provision of a large amount will be made in the forthcoming budget to make the basic health facilities more robust in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the availability of oxygen in the state is continuously increasing. For the proper use of oxygen, it is necessary to carefully analyze the amount received and used. He said that arrangements should be made on the basis of tankers’ capacity and transportation period. It should be ensured when the tanker arrives at the filling station, so that there is no delay in its filling. He obtained information about the patients transferred from home isolation to hospitals. He said that wherever more than one-two percent of the patients have been transferred to hospitals, after studying all those cases, the reasons should be reviewed and action taken to resolve them.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Covid treatment facility is being expanded in the state. Apart from expansion, it is also important to take care that the organisations that are allowed for Covid treatment are effectively verified. Minimum treatment facilities must compulsorily be available in the centre. In the districts where the pressure of infection is high, there was a need for efforts to expand the government facilities as well as private treatment facilities and also information should be gathered about from where the availability of necessary equipment and resources can be ensured. Chief Minister Chouhan was informed that the efficiency rate of distribution of medical kits in the state is 99 percent. The percentage of interaction with individuals living in home isolation is also more than 97.
It was informed at the meeting that based on the availability of oxygen, transportation work is being done by planning the availability of tankers for the next 4 days. In a day, 13 thousand 417 new positive cases have come up in the state, while 11 thousand 577 persons have become healthy. Of these, 1,711 persons have been discharged from various hospitals. 466 people have recovered from Covid Care Centres and 9,390 from home isolation. The growth rate of infection cases in 8 districts of Shajapur, Panna, Agar-Malwa, Umaria, Katni, Rajgarh, Anuppur and Guna has decreased. Under Kill Corona Campaign-2, 12 thousand 800 survey teams are doing survey work.
