In order to contain the spread of corona virus, the Barnala city has been divided into three zones and duty magistrates have been appointed. Giving this information here today District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mr Tej Partap Singh Phoolka stated that these duty magistrates will coordinate with civil and health department to ensure law and order situation and for safeguarding public and private property.
He added that the zone number 1 includes area that is under police station city 2 wherein senior veterinary officer Dr Karamjit Singh has been deputed as the duty magistrate. Similarly, the zone number 2 area includes areas of kacha college road, pakka college road, Farwahi Bazar, Sadar Bazar, Handiaya Bazar and Sekha Fatak wherein veterinary officer Dr Simar Singh has been deputed as the duty magistrate. In zone number 3 areas of 16 acre, 22 fatak, Balmiki Chowk, Sandhu Patti an village Sanghera have been included wherein veterinary officer Dr Ashok Kumar has been deputed as duty magistrate.
