’Operation Clean’, a very cruel and dictatorial plan of Modi government: Kultar Singh Sandhwan

When all manipulation of Modi government failed, it now wants to persecute the farmers on the pretext of Covid

Appeals to the people to reach Delhi border at the earliest in maximum numbers

Chandigarh, April 17, 2021

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government’s plan – ‘Operation Clean’, intended to forcefully remove the farmers sitting on the dharna, who were peacefully agitating for the last five months on the Delhi borders. In a statement issued from the party headquarters on Saturday, AAP MLA and Kisan Wing president Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that the Modi government at the Centre was plotting to forcefully remove the agitating farmers on the pretext of Covid. Sandhwan termed the centre government’s plan of ‘Operation Clean’ as a very cruel and dictatorial step.

He said that the conspiracy of the government to remove agitating farmers by using force was very shameful. “Millions of farmers of the country are organising their movement in a peaceful manner and this is their democratic right, but dictatorial Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government is preparing to crush the democratic rights of the farmers, instead of accepting their legitimate demands,” he said. Sandhwan further said that the Aam Aadmi Party strongly opposes and condemns this dictatorial and ruthless scheme of the Modi government. He said that as much condemnation of this decision can be done, that would be less.

The AAP leader said that if force would be used to remove the farmers from the movement site, then the Modi government of the Centre and the Khattar government of Haryana will be held responsible for the loss to the farmers. Sandhwan said that for the last several months, the Modi government was plotting to end the farmers’ movement but was repeatedly failing due to unity and brotherhood of the farmers. “The government now wants to persecute the farmers on the pretext of Corona, when all the tactics have failed,” he added. Sandhwan appealed to the people to reach Delhi border at the earliest and in maximum numbers so that the dictatorship of the Modi-led central government and Haryana’s Khattar government can be vigorously combated to save agriculture and farming.
