Chandigarh, May 17 – Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the State Government will purchase the drug 2DG prepared by DRDO for the treatment of Corona patients. He elaborated that this drug is expected to provide speedy recovery to corona patients.
The Health Minister said this in a tweet today that ‘Anti-Covid drug 2DG developed by DRDO which will be used for the treatment of Covid patients will be purchased by Haryana. Defence Minister, Sh. Rajnath Singh and Union Health Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan today released this drug which helps corona patients recover faster and reduces the dependence of oxygen supplement.’ He said that this medicine will reduce the need of extra oxygen for the patients.
Sh. Vij said that the administration of Covid-19 vaccine to the people of the state is going on vigorously by Haryana Government. So far, about 49 lakh persons have been vaccinated in Haryana. With this, ICU beds and isolation beds and other facilities are being augmented in the state. There is no shortage of oxygen and medicines in the state as well.
