Additional 100 bedded facility started in Faridabad Metro Hospital

The first rural area COVID Care Centre of Gurugram district also started in village Bhora Kalan

Chief Minister Manohar Lal inaugurates both the facilities through video conferencing

Chandigarh, May 17:  Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal on Monday inaugurated the facility of additional 100 oxygen beds for COVID patients in Metro Hospital in Faridabad through video conferencing from Gurugram and 50 bedded COVID Care Centre having oxygen facility at Primary Health Centre in village Bhora Kalan in Pataudi Assembly Constituency of Gurugram. This COVID Care Centre inaugurated in village Bhora Kalan is the first COVID Care Centre of rural area of Gurugram district.

On this occasion, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, MLA, Smt. Seema Trikha and Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. Ajay Gaur and other dignitaries were present in Faridabad, while Pataudi MLA, Sh. Satya Prakash Jaravata and other dignitaries attended the function from Bhora Kalan village.

The Chief Minister while addressing the people present at both the places said that with the inauguration of a 50 bedded COVID Care Centre in Bhora Kalan village, the residents of Bhora Kalan along with the patients along from nearby villages would be greatly benefited.

These days, door-to-door health screening is being done in rural areas. During this time, those who will be found having COVID-19 like symptoms would be able to get treatment in these COVID Centres said the Chief Minister.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the second wave of the COVID pandemic has decreased in the last few days and hence a decline in COVID-19 cases has also been seen. He hoped that in the coming 10 days, there would be a decline in the active cases in the state.

The Chief Minister said that as per experts about the third wave of COVID is likely to be expected. Therefore the expansion of hospitals and the setting up of COVID Care Centres will benefit the COVID patients as this increased number of beds and other health facilities for the patients would  prove beneficial for patients at present and in future as well. He said that now the number of beds available for COVID patients has increased to more than 19000 which was earlier only 17500.
