CHANDIGARH, JUNE 21:
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has approved suspension of Poonam Kangra as non-official Member of Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes, following the registration of an abetment to suicide case against her.
Following the Chief Minister’s clearance, the State Government has placed Kangra’s membership under suspension with immediate effect.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson said that the Chief Minister had also ordered an inquiry against the Kangra, who was arrested, along with her husband and son, by the Sangrur Police a few days back.
