A spokesperson of Health department said that the State was running two portals for providing tele-consultation services. One is the e-Sanjeevani portal on which Community Health Officers of Health & Wellness Centers, Health Sub Centers and Medical Officers of Primary Health Centers can seek tele-consultation from specialists working at 3 tele-hubs established at IGMC Shimla, Dr. RPGMC Tanda and SLBSGMC Ner Chowk.
The second portal is e-Sanjeevani OPD on which any person of the State can seek tele-consultation directly from a doctor working in tele-hubs of the Medical Colleges. The e-Sanjeevani OPD was functioning from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm till now. Keeping in view that Corona curfew has been imposed in the State and many people are restricted at their place of residence, the state Government has increased the timings of e-Sanjeevani OPD from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on all working days. The e-Sanjeevani OPD will also function on Sundays and holidays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. All the doctors manning the e-Sanjeevani OPD have been trained to give consultations to Covid-19 patients also. The spokesperson appealed the public to avail the service of e sanjeevani OPD.
Till date, the State of Himachal Pradesh has given 82,283 consultations through the e-Sanjeevani portal and 1648 consultations on the e-Sanjeevani OPD.
