Chandigarh, May 26- Haryana Home Minister Shri Anil Vij said that due to the implementation of the ‘The Haryana Recovery of Damages to Property Act ‘ in the state, any damage done to people’s shops, hawkers, houses, government offices, vehicles, buses and other public property in guise of any movement will be recovered from the protestors.
Sh. Vij said that the notification of this Act has been issued by the Government of Haryana, after which this Act has been enforced in the state. Thus, any such movement in the future will hamper the intention to damage people or public property. He said that carrying out such movements is a part of democracy but it is incorrect to harm in guise of it.
The Home Minister said that a Tribunal would be set up in this regard, which would take up such complaints and take action against the offenders. He said that the parties, who are opposing this Act, should clarify whether they are in favour of those who burn shops, houses, government offices, trains, buses and other public property or are in favour of those who have been harassed in the process.
