NIIFT Ludhiana to organize ATAL sponsored Online FDP from June 7 to 11

(NIIFT) Ludhiana would organize a five-day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in Apparel Design (Elementary) from June 7 to 11, 2021. The FDP is sponsored by the All India Council of Technical Education Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy.
A spokesman said that the objective of the All India Council of Technical Education Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy is to help institutions in imparting technical education in the country and to support technical institutions in fostering research, innovation, and entrepreneurship through training in nine thrust areas including Apparel Design.
He said that ATAL academy has gone online from registration of faculty members to certificate disbursal mechanism through portal www.aicte-india.org/atal and the faculty of fashion institutes, Polytechnics, CBSE School vocational teachers, industry people, research scholars, etc. can apply online on AICTE Atal web portal: https://www.aicte-india.org/atal by June 5.
He said that there are limited seats and the application limit of the online program is only 200 & is on a first come first serve basis.
Those who complete this FDP can enroll for Advanced FDP on Apparel Design, scheduled in November 2021, he added. He told that there is no registration fee for attending the course.
Renowned academicians from premier institutions such as IIT, NIT, NIFT & NIIFT, Industry leaders, and former bureaucrats would deliver the sessions as resource persons during the FDP.
Harpreet Singh, Coordinator, ATAL FDP and Course Coordinator, Department of Fashion Design Knits informed that NIIFT, Ludhiana has started receiving the applications for the program and also extended the invitation to the faculty members of Textile/ Garment/ Fashion Institutes in the state of Punjab to come forward to attend the FDP, to update their trade-specific skills.
