TILL WHEN WOULD AKALIS SUCCUMB TO ANTI SIKH & ANTI PUNJAB ATTITUDE OF BJP: RANDHAWA
SAYS AKALIS HAVE SURRENDERED TO BJP MERELY TO SAVE CHAIR OF A UNION MINISTER

Senior Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today slammed actor Anupam Kher, husband of BJP MP Kirron Kher and a staunch supporter of BJP’s ideology, for using the Holy Shabad of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji merely to please his political master Sambit Patra.
He said that despite the heinous act on part of Anupam Kher, that has hurt the sentiments of Sikhs globally, the Akalis have surprisingly preferred to stay mum. Randhawa slammed the Akalis and questioned as to till when would they keep tolerate the disrespect caused by the BJP towards the Sikhs as well as the Punjabis.
He said that during the campaigning of 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Amritsar, the then Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia similarly caused insult towards Gurbani merely to praise BJP leader Arun Jaitley. Randhawa said that if the leader of a so-called Panthic party can commit such a heinous crime then what can be expected from their coalition partners?
The Congress Minister said that Anupam Kher has committed a heinous act of hurting the feelings of the Sikhs under a well thought out conspiracy which the Sikhs would never tolerate. He said that the sad part is that Kher’s wife Kirron Kher represents capital of Punjab, Chandigarh, in the Parliament. Yet her husband dared to hurt the sentiments of the Sikhs.
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa lashed out at the Akalis and said that if the Badal family have decided to sway with the BJP by flouting the values of the Akali Dal, then the Badal family should resign from all posts of the Akali Dal and make BJP their mother party.
He said that BJP led Union government has been constantly on the lookout for damaging the minorities, federal structure and especially farmers, but it was surprising that even before the BJP clarified its decision, Sukhbir Badal and Union Minister Harsimrat Badal start singing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s praises.
The Congress leader asked till when would the Akalis forego the rights of the Punjabis merely to save the chair of Union Minister Harsimrat Badal. He said that along with the Sikh leadership of BJP, the Akali Dal was also responsible for the insult caused by Anupam Kher and asked them to apologise to the entire Sikh community.
