Barnala, May 13 2021
Barnala administration has rolled out an army of corona volunteers that will create awareness about the pandemic from door-to-door- with special emphasis on the commercial areas.
Interacting with the corona volunteers today, Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr Tej Partap Singh Phoolka said that the volunteers must safeguard themselves against the infection while spreading awareness. “People have to be reminded repeatedly that all the covid protocols are for their own safety and made to follow so that we can decimate the spread of infection,” he said.
ADC (G) Mr Aditya Dechalwal asked volunteers to ensure that the protocol was at least being followed diligently in their own homes and neighbourhood. They should come up as examples that others can follow well. SDM Mr Varjeet Walia exhorted the youngsters to be humble yet affirmative when coming across violations of covid protocol.
Meanwhile, assistant director youth services Mr Vijay Bhaskar said that the volunteers have been visiting different market places and creating awareness among shopkeepers and customers alike. Besides the word of mouth, they are also pasting posters outside the shops.
