AAP leaders corner state Health Minister for peddling lies over the pandemic.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab,  expressing its grave concern over the Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu’s pedaling lies over the unprecedented spike in the cases of corona in the state, saying if the government wanted to defeat the Coronavirus, it should shun its ego for those who were fighting the big battle against it.

In a statement issued from party headquarters, senior leader of the party and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Principal Budh Ram, Deputy Leader Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and MLA Master Baldev Singh said that the rapidly rise in the  cases of corona in the state, was a matter of concern, adding that the arrogance of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu had left a large number of people fighting with the virus t fend for themselves.

Harpal Singh Cheema said that the  epidemic had struck in the capital city Delhi in a big way at the outset as in the world’s metropolitan cities like London, Mumbai, New York etc., but  Arvind Kejriwal govt had adopted every successful model from across the world to effectively take it hands down, which was lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the world at large.

Cheema said that seeing the unprecedented spurt in the cases and the failed arrangements of combative mechanism, if AAP being the principal opposition party suggested the government in the saddle to adopt the Delhi model to fight the epidemic, why Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu was upset?

Principal Budh Ram, Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and Master Baldev Singh said that such an egoistic stance of the government could wreak havoc with the  lives of people in the state keeping in view the ever increasing number of cases reported from government hospitals and corona care centres, which were in a  shambles.

AAP leaders said that patients suffering from other than corona ailments were also losing their lives due to poor management and lack of facilities, alleging the health ministry was fudging figures of the number of patients dying from other ailments to hide its own failures.
