Chandigarh August, 11: Haryana Government has posted 11 IAS and HCS officers as District Municipal Commissioners against newly created posts with the aim of speeding up the work of all Municipal Committees and Councils in the state.
The three IAS officers who have been so posted include Mr. Jai Krishan Abhir as District Municipal Commissioner, Mahendragarh, Ms. Sangeeta Tetarwal, Managing Director Haryana Women Development Corporation Limited as District Municipal Commissioner, Sirsa and Ms. Monika Gupta, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Smart City Faridabad and Chief Executive Officer, Faridabad City Transport Service Limited as District Municipal Commissioner, Palwal.
Similarly 8 HCS officer who have been so posted include, Mr. Dinesh Singh Yadav, Additional Director ( Admn.), Higher Education, Nodal Officer, Grievances as District Municipal Commissioner Rewari, Mr. Munish Nagpal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mahendragarh and Secretary, RTA, Mahendragarh as District Municipal Commissioner, Nuh, Mr. Kuldhir Singh, Additional Director (Admn.) Agriculture and Special Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department as District Municipal Commissioner Kaithal, Ms. Ashima Sangwan, Joint Chief Executive Officer, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Gurugram as District Municipal Commissioner, Jhajjar, Ms. Amrita Singh, Additional Director(Admn.) Health Services as District Municipal Commissioner, Bhiwani, Mr. Samwartak Singh Khangwal, Additional Transport Commissioner as District Municipal Commissioner, Fatehabad, Dr. Sushil Kumar, Zonal Administrator, HSAMB, Karnal as District Municipal Commissioner Jind and Mr. Narender Pal Malik, Sub Divisional Officer, Karnal has been posted as District Municipal Commissioner, Kurukshetra.
These District Municipal Commissioners have been bestowed with many powers currently being exercised by the Deputy Commissioners And Director Urban Local Bodies Department over the Municipal Committees and Councils .
In the remaining 10 districts the commissioners of the Municipal Corporations will act as the District Municipal Commissioners in addition to their present duties .
