Food Safety Department teams lift samples in Rajouri

To ensure the quality of ice cream used by the consumers, the special teams constituted by the Food Safety Department Rajouri conducted special drives across different areas of the district.

During the drive, the teams lifted 08 samples of locally made ice cream and 36 samples of different food items from suppliers and Anganwadi centres and sent the same to the accredited laboratories for further analysis.

The teams informed that the Department of Food Safety is committed to ensure quality food items are made available to the consumers and the drives for different food items are being conducted from time to time to make the availability of safe food for all.

The teams urged the shopkeepers to strictly adhere to the norms of the Food and Safety act and warned them of the strict action if they are found violating the necessary guidelines of the act.

They further made it clear that the special drives will continue in the larger public interest.
