A spokesperson of the health department said here today that presently there are 1579 active cases of Covid-19 in the State. District Kangra have 261, Chamba 240 and Shimla 239 cases of Covid-19 which are highly loaded districts in the State. The test positivity rate of the State is 1.3 with district Mandi having the highest positivity rate of 4.3.
The spokesperson said that district Kullu, Bilaspur, Sirmaur and Solan have positivity rate less than 1. The case fatality rate of the State for Covid-19 is 0.6. Presently, as many as 170 patients are admitted in various hospitals. Out of these, 124 patients are admitted on oxygen beds and 46 patients are being managed in ICUs. There are 2609 oxygen beds and 275 ICU beds available in the State.
He further said that on 2nd July, 2021 as many as 11956 samples had been taken for testing for Covid-19, out of which 11794 samples were found negative, 142 were confirmed Covid positive cases while reports of 20 samples are awaited. He said that in case of any symptoms of Covid like fever, cough, rashes, diarrhoea or flu, the people should immediately report for testing and should isolate themselves till the results are available.
