Chandigarh, July 12: On the eve of 100th e-Auction scheduled for July 13, 2021, HSIIDC carried out a plantation drive in Khanak village where around 100 trees were planted at various spots, including School, Community Centre etc.
HSIIDC is carrying out mining work at Village Khanak, Tehsil Tosham, District Bhiwani, over an area of 258.30 hectares of land. The project is going to boost State and regional economy by generating revenue whereas it will also benefit local people by enhancing employment opportunities by the development work going on around the mine area through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of HSIIDC.
CSR works are also carried out from time to time on the basis of requests/representations received from locals, village panchayat representatives and others. These initiatives include –Installation of RO, Water Coolers in schools of village, installation of swings/open gym in school, distribution of tricycles for physically challenged, sports equipments, distribution of medical items during Covid-19 pandemic, drinking water supply in school/village, plantation of trees, installation of RCC Chairs in village and other such initiatives. Many such initiatives were carried out during the peak of Covid-19 pandemic where HSIIDC through the CSR activities carried many such drives to ease the life of the people who have suffered due to lockdown.
Mining operations are being carried out through a fair and transparent mechanism. The material produced during mining is being sold through e-Auction. Total 99 e-Auctions have been conducted so far. On completing this important milestone the department congratulated the MD, HSIIDC, Sh. Anurag Agarwal for his vision and robust initiative towards materialising it whereas the department even congratulated HoD, Khanak Mines, Sh. MP Singh for always boosting the morale of mining workers and successfully leading the project towards the right direction.
