39 patients cured and discharged; Active case rise to 623

29 new positive cases reported in UT Ladakh;

Leh, Aug 20: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, informed that yesterday UT Ladakh has received a total of 29 Positive reports. Out of the total Positive reports, 16 Positive sample reports are received by CMO Leh and 13 Positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.

With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has increased to 623; 356 in Leh district and 267 in Kargil district and that the condition of all 623 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.

Today 10 Patients of Home Isolation at Leh and 15 patients of Facility Isolation were discharged, after the negative sample report was received by CMO Leh yesterday.

Similarly, 14 patients of Home Isolation of Kargil were discharged today, after the negative sample reports were received by CMO Kargil yesterday.

The bulletin further informed that Out of 16 Positive sample reports were received by CMO Leh, 13 Positive sample reports were received from Covid Lab Chuchot and 03 Positive sample reports were received from DIHAR Lab Leh.

While, Out of the 13 Positive reports received by CMO Kargil, 11 Positive sample reports were received from Covid Lab Chuchot and 02 Positive sample reports were detected through Rapid Antigen Test.

Today 154 samples were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing today. Out of the total samples,

93 samples were sent by CMO Leh and 61 samples were sent by CMO Kargil.

73 Passengers and Drivers and Helpers of 09 Tankers, 29 Trucks and 06 Light Vehicles were screened at Upshi Check post yesterday.

279 passengers and 212 Drivers and Helpers of 136 Trucks, Tankers and Light Motor Vehicles were screened at Khaltsi Check Post yesterday. Vehicles were also sanitized. Similarly, 347 passengers were screened at Airport Leh today.
