Chandigarh, July 26 –
In a major catch, Haryana Police has arrested a criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 from Rajasthan. The accused wanted in over half a dozen cases, including murder and loot, was a prime accused in a murder case in Jind district.
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the arrested accused was identified as Sanjeet alias Sunny, a resident of Sunaria Kalan, district Rohtak. He is an accused in the murder case of a teacher, who was killed on June 14, 2021 at Alipura village in Jind district.
The accused along with his two aides had shot dead Suresh, who was key witness in a murder incident. More than eight cases of murder, attempt to murder, loot and threaten to kill were already registered against him in different police stations. He was absconding since then and Police, who had been looking for the accused, had declared a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest. However, one of his associates had already been arrested on July 5, this year.
After registration of a case in this connection, the accused had been taken on remand by producing in the Court. The case is under thorough investigation, he added.
