3 benches constituted at Kargil, Sankoo, Drass
KARGIL AUGUST 22, 2020: To facilitate the disposal of cases during the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the first E-Lok Adalat was held in Kargil district today during which three benches were constituted.
Different nature of cases like bank recovery cases, matrimonial cases, pre-litigations, traffic challans and other cases were taken up for hearing through alternative modes during the E-Lok Adalat.
2 benches were constituted at District Court Complex, Kargil out of which one comprised of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil Mansoor Ahmad Lone and Advocate Ghulam Murtaza while as the second bench comprised of Munsiff Sankoo Tsering Wangyal and Advocate Khadim Hussain.
The third bench was constituted at Drass comprising of the Munsiff Drass Tsewang Phuntsog and Block Development Officer, Drass.
A total of 63 cases were taken up during the E-Lok Adalat out of which 63 cases were settled amicably.
An amount of Rs 174000 was settled in bank recovery cases while an amount of Rs 9800 was recovered as fine.
