20 patients cured and discharged; Active case raises to720
Leh, Aug 22: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, informed that 77 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in UT Ladakh. Out of the total positive reports, 57 positive sample reports are received by CMO Leh and 20 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.
With the death of two more patients from Covid-19 in Kargil district, taking the UT-Ladakh death toll to 21.
Today 08 patients of facility Isolation of Leh, 01 patients from home isolation at Leh and 05 patients from Covid Care Centre Leh were discharged, after the negative sample reports were received by CMO Leh yesterday.
Similarly, 06 patients of home Isolation of Kargil were discharged today, after the negative sample reports were received by CMO Kargil yesterday.
With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has increased to 720; 431 in Leh district and 289 in Kargil district and that the condition of all 720 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.
The bulletin further informed that out of 57 positive sample reports received by CMO Leh, 55 positive sample reports were received from Covid Lab Chuchot and 02 positive sample reports were received from PGIMER Chandigarh.
Out of the 20 positive reports received by CMO Kargil, 18 positive sample reports were received from Covid Lab Chuchot and 02 positive sample reports were detected through Rapid Antigen Test.
Today the Health Department sent 229 samples to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing. Out of the total samples, 106 samples were sent by CMO Leh and 123 samples were sent by CMO Kargil.
58 passengers and drivers and helpers of 06 tankers, 25 Trucks and 14 light vehicles were screened at Upshi Check post yesterday.
78 passengers and 297 drivers and helpers of 132 trucks, tankers and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi Check Post yesterday. Vehicles were also sanitized. Similarly, 274 passengers were screened at Airport Leh today.
