Leh, Aug 24: District Tuberculosis Forum held under the chairmanship of Chief Medical Officer Leh Dr. Motup Dorjey at District TB office Leh today.
Padma Shri Dr. Tsering Norboo (Physician Specialist Retd.), Dy. CMO Leh Dr Manzoor-ul-Haq, District TB Officer Leh Dr. Nurzin Angmo, President Women Alliance Tsering Chondol, a representative from TCV, TB champions, and family members of TB patients were also present.
The forum deliberated on various aspects such as to increase the awareness about TB in the society, the importance of community participation, inter-Sectoral coordination, efforts to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with TB, and political and administrative commitments, among others.
